The Mansfield Historical Society has been awarded a grant of $16,012 that will partially fund a conditions assessment of the two town-owned buildings it occupies – the Old Town Hall (1843) and the former Town Office Building (1935).  The Town of Mansfield has committed $15,000 of the required matching funds.  The grant, called a Historic Preservation Technical Assistance Grant (HPTAG), is a matching grant from the Connecticut Trust for Historic Preservation in partnership with the Connecticut State Preservation Office.
